I had the opportunity recently (well, not that recently anymore since I’ve been so slow in posting lately–you get it, it’s the summer, anyway…) I got the chance to see the Spanx showroom and check out collections for not only Fall this year but also Spring 2010 and Summer (Spanx is f-ing coming out with the hottest bathing suits you could ever imagine!) More to come on their collections for next year but I just had to take a moment to rave about their tights. They threw a few pairs in with the press kit I received and I have to say I tried on a few before stowing them away in Winter storage for Scarves and Stockings and I just have to say, they are such great quality. I am always so pleasantly surprised by what Spanx comes out with and the high quality their products have.

The tights are thick and I actually got one pair stuck on my Yurman bracelet (damn things catch everything) and it didn’t rip them! They are just so well made (unlike my H&M tights, which are basically disposable clothing after 1 use.

Aside from just being great quality these tights freaking rock. They suck your gut in and plump your rump!

So when I attended a SPANX party a couple months ago and was asked to review the BRA-LLELUJAH I was skeptical. For $62, I thought there is no difference between this and any bra I could pick up at Nordstrom’s or even Loehmann’s for that matter, for far less. But hey, I figured let me try it out and see what happens. I got the sample in the mail (yes, one of the perks of blogging! you know, other than talking to myself hoping someone cares what I have to say…) and put it on immediately before I left to go out. Holy, patent-pending genius, Batman! At first I couldn’t really tell how amazing it was, in fact I didn’t feel a thing. I was doing my makeup and getting ready to go out and it hit me, I can’t feel my braaaaaaa! Now maybe I just wear really uncomfortable bras but when I get home and put on comfy clothes, the bra goes!  But with Brallelujah it doesn’t have to! The material is so soft. The straps aren’t adjustable, they adjust themselves. The entire piece is made from a patent-pending material that feels glorious on  your skin and is barely seen through your clothes (even white t-shirts)! Even better? It’s racer-back for all my summer tanks! Better than that? It doesn’t squeeze your back at all, which means NO hideous back-fat bulge or bra straps showing through! The cups provide enough support and lift too! The back also has no metal hooks or tag so it won’t poke through your shirt! My only advice is that you must try this on before you purchase. I wear a B-cup in this and usually wear a C-cup.

String Awakening!

If granny panties had an antonym, Cosabella’s G string underwear would certainly be it! Although these itty bitty thongs resemble the width of dental floss,they do not feel anything like it! Since they are so incredibly comfortable, it almost feels as though you’re going commando! Another reason I am such a big fan of this teeny thong  is  that they will not leave any outline whatsoever-even, if you are wearing skin-tight pants such as leggings! But, wait…it gets better! These thongs are also one size fits all-meaning, the string sides are stretchy, so they will not squeeze the lovely area we like to refer to as “Love Handles.” So, if you’re convinced to buy these hot, comfy  g-strings, you can find them in department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s at  $14 per pair. However, the good news is,  these thongs can also be found at Century 21 and Loehmann’s for $7-which is a lot more reasonable for a tiny piece of material!

Hey Now! I found something that’s bringing sexy back after this holiday season…the non-girdle-girdle! I don’t know about y’all but I went to town this holiday season on anything I could get my hands on! Cupcakes, Salt-n-vinegar chips, pad Thai, movie theater popcorn–the usual suspects! The best thing about these is that the waist band does not pinch or roll down. Every time I moved I felt like I had to yank those up again. Sassybax though stayed in place! And guess what- even though these are $55, you can wear them all the time. These seriously make you look smooth and help suck you in so you can comfortably fit into whatever you’re wearing (sans girdle lines showing- nothing is less sexy than that!)

The Thinning Slip

This thing doesn’t ride up either and it made me look flubber-free under my bandage dress which is about the tightest item I own. I wore this all night and it really never rode up. There was no tug of war trying to keep this in place. She stayed put all night long! It also has a built in bra so I didn’t have to have 6 straps showing. It smoothes unwanted back-fat.
