Ever wonder if those hideous, clunky shoes are doing anything for your legs, waistline or fashion dignity? Two studies from the American Council on Exercise, a nonprofit group, compared the benefits of toning shoes from Skechers, Reebok and MBT with ordinary running shoes and shockingly both studies found that there was no significant difference between any of the toning shoes and the standard running shoe. I'm so not feeling this collection. To me, the whole beauty behind Forevies is that you pretend it's designer and if you have a good eye you can get away with it. Why on earth would I want a shirt with BL, which not only is reminiscent of Abercrombies logo splattering, but fingers me as someone who shops at Forever 21? Pass.

So we hit up Rachel Roy’s new pop-up shop in SoHo last week with a friend. We were both shocked by the great quality and selection. Not that I thought the collection wouldn’t be cute but most designer’s budget collections seem to swap price for quality. I must say I was shocked, the quality was amazing! I would def recommend these clothes to anyone looking for some cute fall outfits. Check out some pics of the new stuff…

This dress was so f-ing fantastic. Unfortunately they only had it in a 2 and i would have liked it in a 4. C’est la vie!

My friend/model Erica got this fab leather jacket. The leather was soft as could be, which we were both shocked about. Trust me, no one is more critical than Erica about clothing…in a good way. I’m telling you this stuff was awesome!

I had the opportunity recently (well, not that recently anymore since I’ve been so slow in posting lately–you get it, it’s the summer, anyway…) I got the chance to see the Spanx showroom and check out collections for not only Fall this year but also Spring 2010 and Summer (Spanx is f-ing coming out with the hottest bathing suits you could ever imagine!) More to come on their collections for next year but I just had to take a moment to rave about their tights. They threw a few pairs in with the press kit I received and I have to say I tried on a few before stowing them away in Winter storage for Scarves and Stockings and I just have to say, they are such great quality. I am always so pleasantly surprised by what Spanx comes out with and the high quality their products have.

The tights are thick and I actually got one pair stuck on my Yurman bracelet (damn things catch everything) and it didn’t rip them! They are just so well made (unlike my H&M tights, which are basically disposable clothing after 1 use.

Aside from just being great quality these tights freaking rock. They suck your gut in and plump your rump!

Okay, seriously. We didn’t really believe this ad until we tried it for ourselves. Now, truth be told we’re probably not the ideal candidate the Yummie Tummie company had in mind (I’m prob a little more on the lanky side) but I mean, come on every girl has some extra Yummy Tummy she’d like to hide!
