Lindsay Lohan Bares All in a Crop-Top!
Jun 15, 2009 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: Celebs, Fashion
No.No.No. Smartypanties are not down with the crop tops. Please, Lindsay, put some of your freckles away. Some things are better left to the imagination. We know you have a rail-thin frail bod, you’ve shown us all that it is possible to subsist solely on alcohol and redbull, we admit you have good abs as a result, but unless it’s 98 degrees outside (“And I Swearrrrrrrr” is that even their song…) or you’re at the beach, there is no reason to wear a tummy-baring “shirt”

We’re really digging Rachel Roy’s Resort collection! Why oh, why are all her pieces $1000!! Looks like we’ll have to wait until they don’t sell and pick them up in Loehmann’s (where undoubtedly we’ll still be barely able to afford one skirt!) We’ll be on the lookout for cheaper alternatives to Rachel Roy’s looks.

SMARTY-HUMANITIES: PETA Blasts Hermes Breeds Crocodiles to Kill for Handbags Purses Victoria Beckham and her Haircut
Jun 13, 2009 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: Fashion, Newsworthy, Smarty-Humanities
Is it fashionably cute to wear an animal’s skin? Victoria Beckham and her new haircut apparently think so. If you’ve been lusting after an Hermes bag all these years, lust no more! The Fashion Superpower has recently been blasted by PETA for breeding crocodiles to murder for its bags. Wanna know something else? It takes 3-4 poor crocs to make ONE bag. Don’t get me wrong. I’m terrified of Crocodiles, but the thought of raising them to kill them and use their skin to dye pink and wear around just to put a leather wallet in kind of makes me nauseaus. My fave part is that the head honcho, Patrick Thomas is quoted as saying they HAVE to do this to keep up with the demand for their bags which cost up to $50,000. Umm, as if there is no choice but to keep making them. Poor things, slaves to the customers. Who feels bad for Hermes?
