Stella and Dot! Loving the Layered Necklace Look!
Oct 13, 2011 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: Jewelry
The other day I ran into my friend on the street, don't you just love that. Anyway, she had the cutest necklaces on. She told me that she's a jewelry rep for Stella and Dot. I immediately had to go online and look up the necklaces. While I was there I found the above video, which I found really interesting. Anyway, I loved this "On the Mark" necklace. She paired it with the "Ever After" necklace (bottom photo). Each are only $49 and absolutely darling, if you ask me!

To search for other necklaces please visit Stella and Dot by clicking the link prior. Also if you have any questions please contact Allysa Axelband through the website. You can host a jewelry party too for your friends! See more details here.
On another neck-a-lace-lace-lace note, who doesn't love a little Ke$ha!?! She's got Jesus on her Neck-a-lace-es-es…
PS I got no compensation or jewelry to write this post. I just really loved it!

Who Wore it Better? Kourtney Kardashian or Amber Lancaster?
Oct 6, 2011 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: Beauty, Celebs, FashionKourtney Kardashian and Amber Lancaster go head to head for a battle of the bombshells in Ted Baker. The ladies paired the same skirt and sweater combo (both by Ted Baker) for a night on the town. Kourtney paired the Ted Baker duo with a red clutch and wild python platforms for a date night with sweety Scott. Amber chose to go for a simpler look by wearing nude heels to a Teen Vogue event. Blonde versus brunette, who do you think wore Ted Baker better?
Get Great Affordable Shoes this Fall at Naturalizer!
Oct 6, 2011 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: Cheap Thrills, Fab Footwear, FashionA couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of going to Naturalizer to check out their Fall shoes for this season. I had never been into Naturalizer before, hard to believe I know but it's true. I just had never really heard anything about the brand. I just couldn't believe how affordable and cute the styles were. And the best part about not shopping at Saks or Bloomies is that the shoes here are actually comfortable. I know have I turned old now that I'm in my 30s that I care about comfort? No, I'm just a New Yorker who has to huff it down into the subway until I make enough money for a personal chauffeur! Until then…
Honestly though I was really impressed by the fact that the shoes were spot on with many of the trends and incorporated serious comfort at prices that are really affordable ($60-$189). Now yes, I'm not gonna lie there were some shoes that you may expect from a brand boasting uber-comfy shoes but there were also many diamonds in the rough!!
As you can see above the brand even is embracing faux-shearling trims and cuffed boots. Love, love love these shoes!! I would have gotten them the day I was in the store but they hadn't arrived in stock yet!
As you can see there were many lady-like styles that were both comfortable and stylish. The shoes could take you from a walk to work in the morning to going out with your friends pain-free! The brand rep explained to me the N5 comfort zones: 1) Extra cushioning, 2) Breathability, 3) Balanced from heel to toe so the ball of your foot doesn't bear the brunt of your weight, 4) Flexible soles, 5) Lightweight materials.
They had some really adorable Mary-Janes and lots of shoes with cute detailed bows! I'm telling you it's worth a trip inside, ladies. I really was impressed with what they had to offer.
Here is me attempting to show off my fabulous new boots that Naturalizer gave me!
And here is a pic that the wonderful shoe salesman took for me. These boots are so comfy and really look almost identical to my Cynthia Vincent pair I got last season for $475! They even have a really cute bow on the back.

Have you been to Naturalizer lately?
*I received a free pair of boots for coming into the press event but as always Smartypanties opinions are always authentic.
A particularly svelte-looking Cavallari wore out my fave brand the other night. I just love the red/purple contrast! She rocked it. What do you think!?!

Guests of the flagship boutique enjoyed an evening of shopping and sipping Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. Complete with a mariachi band, led by the designer himself, party goers reveled in the high end fashions and fun atmosphere. Adding more excitement to the evening, actress Sarah Jessica Parker stopped by to take part in the festivities. On Saturday evening, Veuve Clicquot celebrated the Erin Fetherston SS 2012 presentation at Milk Studios. Known for her 50s and 60s patterns, the bubbly designer welcomed guests to view her Mia Farrow inspired collection. Notable guests including Brad Goreski, Mary Alice Stephenson, Virginia Smith and Mickey Boardman sipped Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and enjoyed the bright patterned prints.
