You know things are bad when fashion heavyweight, Dolce & Gabbana are slashing prices! Don’t get too excited though, even their reduced prices would break my bank. But at least it’s good to know that the recession has knocked a little bit of sense into them, albeit a tiny bump to their insane pricepoints.

Check out their new prices: A pair of five-pocket jeans for spring will sell for $450 (for spring 2009 they cost $695); a dress will cost $1,469, down from $2,295; a leather bomber jacket will be priced at $1,499, compared with $2,296, and an iconic stretch silk tulle corset dress will go to $3,589 from last year’s $5,200.

Yep, it’s official. Rachel Roy is the latest incroyable designer to cater to the chicanomical! And she’s not abandoning her luxurious elegance either, it’ll just now be affordable for, well, me!

Here’s what we got:

The line will retail from $59 to $299 for sportswear, $79 to $199 for footwear, $40 to $195 for jewelry and $69 to $109 for handbags. The collection includes an array of sportswear options, including stonewashed denim skirts; fake leather jackets and fake fur vests; long, chunky cardigans; Modal jersey dresses, jumpsuits and tops; crystal-embellished cotton jersey T-shirts; brushstroke-printed jackets and coats, and bright pink leopard-printed skinny jeans. In addition to apparel, there will be a large selection of accessories, including footwear, handbags and jewelry, all retailing for under $250.

This much anticipated website hits the internet tomorrow! It’s basically just an outlet for Net-a-Porter. We suspect it’ll have all the overpriced garments that couldn’t sell due to their outrageousness. We can’t wait to reap the benefits…muahhhhhh-ha-haaaaaaaaa.

The more you shop, the more you save!

A new place just opened up in Mary Brickell Village called Spa & Nail Fever.

Obviously, it’s a spa and nail salon.

They do nails, waxing, makeup, everything!

Their manicurists are SO GOOD and SO REASONABLE.

I got a manicure and pedicure for a total of $40 including tip.  And my pedicure has lasted for almost a month!!!

Try it!  It’s on the second floor, right above Blu Restaurant…which is also fabulous. 

You all know how much we love our Hunters, but they seem rather impractical for the Spring/Summer. There is an alternative to heavy rainboots–jelly shoes! You know, like the ones you used to wear as a little girl! We like the idea of splashing through puddles without being worried we’ll ruin our leather or suede but we’re not so sure they’ll keep our footsies warm and dry like rainboots. Only time will tell.
