Biore Steam Activated Cleanser and Makeup Removing Towelettes–Party in the Shower!
Mar 8, 2010 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: BeautyLast week I was so excited when I was invited to a party in the shower. Get your minds outta the gutter! It was for Biore's new products. It was so adorable–the room looked like a glowing green shower with loofahs speckling the room. Of course I forgot to take my camera, but I digress.
Steam Activated Cleanser: It's very interesting. It harnesses the pore opening power of the steam in your shower. It also has a slight cooling effect. I couldn't wait to use it the next morning. It was awesome. The luxurious foam whisked away the grime of my makeup. And here's the best parttttt–wait for itttttt….it's soap free, sulfate free, Paraben free and non-pore cloggin. Niceeeeeeee.

They also have new makeup removing towelettes. I loved them because they're really non-greasy. They're infused with Vitamin-E, green coconut water and Indian Genseng. They did this gnarly demo for us and dipped one of the new sheets in a bowl of water along with a generic towel and it was crazy, the one that was generic turned the water milky and greasy. The biore one looked like water still–which to me I'd much rather on my skin. I mean, isn't the point of a makeup removing towelette to clean your skin without washing your face? Boo-ya!
Available at select drug stores and you know basically everywhere. They're about $7.99 each.
Givenchy Cosmetics Collection Summer 2010

This is my new favorite bronzer! It reminds me of my staple, the shimmer-brick from Bobbi Brown but it's more practical since it's less shimmery! I tried to take a pic but no matter what the lighting you couldn't tell the marvelous color it gave. Anywho, it's available exclusively at Sephora. I can't get enough of it!
There's a whole fun collection! I just love the color blocking. Like 4 eyeshadows in one!
The blush, my favorite color is In-Vogue Orange. $43.
And face powder: Le Prisme Sun Visage Mat Soft Compact Face Powder. My fave color, (and name of a color) sun cinnamon

C'est moi wearing the Sun Cinnamon, it's hard to see but it's beautiful!
H&M Introduces Budget-Friendly Natural Skincare Line

H&M INTRODUCES SKINCARE WITH CERTIFIED ORGANIC INGREDIENTS
We're a little skeptical given what came out about their "organic" clothing line but here's the scoop:
Debuting in stores at the beginning of March, the range of everyday essentials includes shower gel, body scrub, body lotion, hand cream and lip balm, all of which are based on natural and organic ingredients and are certified by Ecocert. The products are available in the fragrance combinations of raspberry and melon or lavender and mint, and are accompanied by make-up and toiletry bags made from organic cotton.
“It felt like a natural step, since we’ve worked with organic cotton garments for a few seasons now. There’s also a strong demand from our customers for organics, and I hope they will be as excited as I am about the new products,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design.
Nature gives us the best ingredients, which is why it makes so much sense to work with organic and natural ingredients in this new range of everyday essentials from H&M. Shower gel contains the juice of organic apples, while organic apple juice and apricot seeds are key ingredients in the body scrub. Organic apple juice and oils from sunflower seeds make up an essential part of the body lotion, while the hand cream has organic apple juice and oils from organic almond seeds. The lip-balm has the key organic ingredients of jojoba and beeswax, and all of the products are scented with natural perfumes derived from essential oils, sold in recyclable packaging. All the products are available at H&M’s affordable prices, while also meeting the requirements of Ecocert. Ecocert is Europe’s biggest certification body for organic and natural cosmetics.
The introduction of skincare products with certified organic ingredients comes at a time when sustainability is even more central to H&M’s work, with a commitment to increase the use of organic cotton by 50% each year until 2013, while projects like H&M’s Garden Collection for Spring 2010 show how organic and sustainable materials can take their place at the very heart of fashion.

USDA Organic Lip Balm, Tonic and Face Lotion by Origins!
Feb 23, 2010 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: Beauty, Health, OrganicI was happy as little kid on Christmas morning when I received my package from Origins Organics. I've been obsessed with finding USDA organic brands that I could trust to not only use organic ingredients but also that I could rely on to make a good product that I would still feel was "luxurious" for lack of a better word. You know what I mean? I've tried several organic brands that smell, well, organic. They make me think of like, brown things. Not how what you want to be smothering your skin in before a hot date.
The purifying tonic to me is my fave. I love that I can use it after I wash my face, get any leftover grime off of me without feeling like I'm just rinsing my face in chemicals. I love the scent of all the products. They make me think of a spa. And I feel like since they're healthy and safe that I really am clean after I use them. Unlike when I use a drugstore brand and I am left wondering what chemicals I just ingested.
The Purifying Tonic:
It eliminates excess oil and shine with Organic Lavender Alcohol. Organic vinegar sloughs off dead cells and organic willow bark, the natural source of salicylic acid soothes and purifies skin. It's only $25. For the extra ten bucks, I'd definitely splurge since tonic stays on your skin and will likely be absorbed by your body. It did seem to clear up any blemishes I had.
The Lip Balm:
It's $15.00, yes it's a little pricey but it works great and is 97% organic ingredients (even higher than USDA requires for the seal). To me it's worth it to feel safe, especially since as I've mentioned putting things on your lips is the quickest way to put something in your bloodstream. It's filled with organic shea, cocoa butter, sunflower, safflower and coconut.
The Face Lotion:
95% Organic. Filled with Shea and Cocoa Butter (organic of course). Essential oils blend of clove, rose, lavender, patchouli and red thyme give it a spa-riffic scent. This is $42.50 but again I'd splurge on lotion before shampoo which most of is rinsed off. This is getting absorbed straight into your skin. I read a review saying they thought the lotion was heavy, but I gotta say, I really don't agree. I thought it was very light and I thought the scent was very light as well.
The Foaming Face Wash:
It's $25.00. I like that it actually foams alot. This product isn't USDA organic though. I do like the scent which is composed of Organic oils from clove buds, grapefruit, lemon, lavender, ylang ylang, patchouli, rose oil and red thyme. If you had to skip one product I'd say maybe skip this one just because I think it's most important to use organic products when your body is going to be most affected. With face wash of course it's rinsed right off. Also, this is the only product in the line that doesn't bear the USDA seal.
*I received these products in consideration for a post. But as always we give you our honest opinion. We receive many products that we do not choose to share wtih you*
