Best Vegetarian Korean in New York City Han Gawi Best Ginger Tea!
Sep 1, 2009 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: Restaurant Review
This place is a gem! Apparently Zagat thinks so too as it was voted best Korean and Vegetarian 2 years in a row. You should seriously run before the word gets out. When you walk in you must remove your shoes, which at first I thought was rather irritating but came to enjoy it was part of the experience. Word to the wise though, SOCKS. You sit on the floor for your meal as waiters hustle and bustle around you. Great service. Wonderful tea. The Ginger tea is quite possibly the most delicious thing ever. When I go back I must ask them what they do to make it so delish. I had a TOFU rice bowl for my entree, which was to die.
How much you ask? Well it’s a pretty middle of the road type place. Maybe a little pricey for lunch but as I said it was so fabulous. I went in thinking I didn’t like Korean and I came out an annoying co-working wanting to drag my fellow attorneys there on a weekly basis. Appetizers run from about $8-$10. Entrees are about $15.

Eyebrow Transplant With Bosley Get Chic Thick Eyebrows Like Demi Moore and Brooke Shields
Sep 1, 2009 Author: Katie Lara | Filed under: Beauty
So, while we find this idea rather creepy, we are also blessed with dark hair and understand that some of our blondies out there do have to deal with a hair thinning problem. As if that’s not bad enough, their eyebrows often thin as well. Now, there is a supposed solution. You be the judge. We haven’t heard anything but we’re interested to find out so let us know in the comments. Read on for more info about alternatives to (GASP) tattooing eyebrows onto your face, which we can definitively say is NOT a good look …
Style icons like Brooke Shields and Demi Moore have one thing in common- thick, pronounced eyebrows. From the runways in New York to the movie sets in LA, bold brows have made a huge comeback in 2008. And now there’s a solution for those unhappy with skinny brows. BOSLEY, known as the world’s most experienced hair restoration expert, now offers eyebrow transplantation. Permanent hair loss in the brow area can be corrected permanently with follicular unit transplantation, the same state-of-the-art technique used in hair transplantation for balding and thinning areas of the scalp.
The BOSLEY techniques yield natural results and can be performed in a simple in-office procedure. Hair is taken from a “donor area” at the back or sides of the scalp and artistically placed in the eyebrow area with attention to shape, thickness and appropriate degree of the arch. As with hair transplantation, the hair is dormant for three months before the new growth begins. Patients can easily repeat the procedure if additional fullness is desired. The results are permanent and plucking or dyeing does not affect the health of the transplanted hairs.
According to Anthony DiBiase, M.D., F.A.C.S. of BOSLEY’s New York office, “we are benefiting from our many years of experience in advancing hair restoration technology to help pioneer and expand the market to eyebrows, certainly one of the most important facial features that impacts expression and personality.” Eyebrows are something we take for granted, but when they are thin, absent or tattooed it’s the first thing you notice.
