Star Trek Movie Review Even Some Beauty for the Ladies–Great Makeup Chris Pine Zoe Saldana

Okay, so until today I had absolutely no Star Trek background whatsoever. Literally the only factoid I knew was that the guy with the pointy ears was Spock. BF wanted to see it though and in the spirit of fairness, since I of course have dragged him to see some terrible movies I agreed to go see this. I have to admit, I’m glad I did. It was so entertaining. Biggest surprise? It was funny! So did not expect funny from Trekkies. The theater was packed, which I was shocked about for a Monday night. Check this, I’m getting up right before the movie to go to the bathroom and the couple next to the aisle are fumbling so I could squeeze by and the guy kicks my foot and knocks me over and I ended up in his lap. Straight out of a movie. He was so awkward and apologetic but of course I thought it was hilarious.
So back to the movie, it was entertaining, even for a non-Trekkie (c’est moi!). The plot was good. Apparently dorky Trekkies have complained that the plot involved a threat to earth which has been used and re-used over and over again throughout the Star Trek history. Luckily for me, never having seen a single episode, it was fresh as a peach! The acting was good. Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) was a babe. And I was so digging Zoe Saldana’s makeup. Love the cat eyes!

I could try to tell you how to do it but let’s be honest, it’s not going to help unless you have the steadiness in your hands of the karate kid. For right now we’re going to label this one “Don’t try this at home,” kiddies.
Live Long and Prosper. And go see Star Trek. It was worth the money. Smarytpanties, out.

loved the film must watch for everyone
I just saw the movie late last night (with a cocktail in hand I might add!) and very much enjoyed it. I, too had no knowledge at all of what Star Trek was or was about- I actually don’t know anything about Star Wars either… used to think they were both the same thing (wrong, I know..)
It was a delight, and my fiancee who does know the stories well also enjoyed it! I loved it.
And the eyes aren’t too difficult to do, I do the look on a regular basis. A steady hand helps, but with a fine point brush it makes for an easy and simple stroke. Practice it and it becomes natural
