Sorry, Katie….but….

When I was growing up, I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER someone (although I can’t remember exactly who…) telling me TO NEVER INHALE THE FUMES FROM NAIL POLISH OR NAIL POLISH REMOVER!!!!!!!!  

My entire life, I’ve ALWAYS held my breath or covered my nose/mouth to avoid breathing in the what I thought were supposedly toxic fumes that would give me brain damage or cause immediate death.  OK, I’m exaggerating…but seriously, only slightly.

Why would a nail polish company introduce a line of pleasantly-scented nail polishes if inhaling nail polish fumes ae allegedly harmful to one’s health??

Maybe what I was told as a child was erroneous…but I don’t care, old habits die hard and I am terrified of these new scented nail polishes.

What’s next, pineapple-scented gasoline?  Apple-scented paint thinner???

I’m terrified and outraged.  Has the world gone mad????

Well, I must admit I’ve never been to one of these sample sales. The reason being that I don’t particularly think that shoes, even Jimsters, are worth risking a potential girl-fight. As we write this we’re reconsidering but please let us know how it goes! Should you live to tell…

Uh, so ya know how Whole Foods has a reputation for really crazy expensive stuff?

I’ve discovered if you buy their store brand of stuff it’s actually cheaper than most other brands.

I bought their Grapefruit Citrus Shower Gel in a GIANT BOTTLE for only $4.  Huge bottle of Unscented Shampoo for $2.  I was majorly confused at how cheap it all was.  But, after about two weeks of use, I am a Whole Foods grooming products groupie.

Also awesome:  it’s made of ALL NATURAL, BIODEGRADABLE, NON-ANIMAL TESTED ingredients.

Lookgood while you go green and keep some green in your wallet, too!!!!

Another new-ish place in Brickell.

I had an egg-white breakfast burrito and a strawberry/banana smoothie.  It was delish!

You can get breakfast all day, baby!  BALLER! 

The place is ALWAYS packed…we sat outside and we were lucky to have gotten a table.

I’m a pescetarian and extremely picky…and there were several things on the menu I could’ve chosen.

The only complaint is that the prices are a bit high, but so are most places in Brickell…so I guess it’s all relative.

All day brunch = I’m sold.

So, I tried this new French place in Brickell called Le Boudoir.

I was MASSIVELY disappointed.  It was adorable and chic and pink with bouncy pink leather couches.  OK, maybe I judged the proverbial book by its cover…but it was cute!

Anyhoo…it was breakfast so I ordered “Le Special” aka eggs, toast, homemade jam, cafe au lait.

What I got would have had Denny’s and IHOP shaking their heads in shame.

I got two RUNNY ASS EGGS AND ONE PIECE OF DAMP TOAST CUT UP INTO LITTLE SQUARES.  When I asked for more toast they CHARGED ME $3!!!!!!!!  UGH!  

The only redeeming thing about the meal was, again, the cute atmosphere.  

To add insult to injury–it cost $24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WTF?!

Le Boudoir?  Le pass.
