Cheapest Fun in NYC Central Park for Free! Workout with a Friend!

But today we decided that after our meal last night we needed a workout and BF agreed. So we decided to take a walk in Central Park but then our competitive streaks kicked in and we kind of started racing eachother and running a little. It was close to 6pm so the park had pretty much emptied minus the few stragglers who were probably smoking pot (or crack). So we jokingly started running like weirdos (a la Phoebe) and she’s right! It was the funnest most funniest thing I’ve done in a while. Yes it’s minorly embarrassing but “then BAM, you’re gone!” Now, we weren’t running as creepy as Phoebe was but the general racing against someone and just jumping around and having fun is so much better than doing my usual run on a treadmill or walk through the park. It’s like you’re a kid again just running in the park for fun and not to tone your growing butt or trim your thunder thighs! Remember? When playing in the park used to be for fun?!
If you’re looking to get in shape you should definitely team up with a friend. We learned in law school that the reason Conspiracy is a crime (it’s a separate Federal crime for anyone to conspire or agree with someone else to do something which, if actually carried out, would amount to another Federal crime or offense) is because the moment you have two people agree to do something the likelihood increases tenfold that it will actually happen. So voila, just apply the same legal rationale to your exercise routine and you’ll be more likely to shed your unwanted winter weight in a snap!
And honestly you don’t even need to belong to a gym. Yes it’s been cold lately but you can still walk outside even for a half hour and burn enough calories to make you feel good about yourself and your workout regiment!
